R&D: MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation

Tuesday, February 9, 2016

Into February I found myself with a little more of a tan than I was used to around this time of year. The color that I got in Thailand over the Christmas/New Years holidays has really stuck around - surprising since I use chemical exfoliants like they are going out of style. My chin and the perimeter of my face have also kept around their new friends from Bangkok - aka the pollution there made my skin breakout so badly and I am still trying to get a handle on it. With these two dilemmas, I bring you a medium to full coverage foundation review and demo on the MAC Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation.

Even though this isn't my new favorite holy grail base product, I have come to learn how to use it and I like the effect it has. I won't be repurchasing this when I'm done with my tube - there are just so many others I prefer and new products hitting the market constantly - but I don't regret my purchase.

I hope you enjoy the video! If you have ever tried this foundation please let me know your thoughts below :)

Even though eye creams can be a bit of a controversial topic, I hope you enjoy the video and be sure to let me know blow in the comments what your favorite eye creams are!

And of course, there are definitely more than 5 eye creams mentioned in the video :)

Review: Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask

Monday, February 8, 2016

It's been a while since I've done a post, let alone a mask review. Not only are these my most popular, but some of my favorite to put together. Today I bring you one of my go-to treatments when I'm looking to brighten my skin for either a special event, date, or just a little pampering. The Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask is a product that provides results after just one use.

For my long-time viewers/readers, you will have heard me mention this mask from my video, Top 5: Masks #2. Even though that was a while ago, this is still a product that is definitely worth the mention. This beta-hydroxy treatment exfoliates the skin without causing redness and irritation like a lot of other peels on the market. Keeping the skin exfoliated, eliminating the dead skin on the outer surface, encourages new cell growth, clearer pores, and therefore you are left with brighter skin.

As I've already mentioned, I absolutely love this mask. My only complaint has to be the shelf life. Tata Harper is a natural line and therefore has to be used at a higher rate than the standard products. Overall, I really don't think that's much of a complaint. I've tried so many natural products on the market and rarely do I find such efficacy. This is the whole enchilada: clean, natural ingredients, that produce visible results.

For such a quality product that uses natural ingredients, a higher price tag is to be expected. At $58 a tub this is a little bit of an investment that I still think is totally worthwhile. Let me know what your go-to mask to brighten the skin and get immediate results is - one can never have too many :)

Beauty Haul #11: Thailand, China, Duty Free

Monday, February 1, 2016

When I was traveling throughout Thailand I picked up SO MUCH drugstore makeup and skincare. I had do much fun shopping in little boutiques as well. On our way back to the US we had a 15 hour layover in Beijing and so I had to do some more spending there! Let's also not forget the opportunities to shop that duty free provides as well.

Be sure to watch if you are interested in seeing my beauty addiction at it's ultimate peak :)
