Evening Skincare Routine

Saturday, May 24, 2014

As a natural follow up to my morning skincare routine, I bring you my evening skincare routine. The video explains and shows you how I remove my makeup after a long day of work, cleanse, and nourish my skin. My skincare routine is very important to maintaining the health of my skin. Since my skin is so sensitive and acne-prone, if I skip even one night.morning of my routine, my skin will show it, via a break out or increased discoloration. Make sure to leave a comment telling me your favorite skincare products below! I hope you enjoy the video!

Products Mentioned:
Nuxe Reve de Miel Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm

2013 Favorites: Skincare

Tuesday, March 25, 2014

2013 Favorites or not the following products below that I talk about in the video linked are all time favorites. These are the products that really stood out to me over 2013. In truth, I would have very much like to have uploaded this video when it was filmed in January, but due to life, moving, surgeries, and an inability to handle my sh*t, I bring you the second installment of my 2013 favorites today! I definitely felt as this was still relevant and quality content and I certainly hope you guys enjoy!

Favorites: October 2013

Thursday, November 7, 2013

As the seasons change I turn back to favorites that have been my tried and true moisturizing and exfoliating products. Colder weather means it's time to hydrate the skin, slap on darker nail polish, and pamper time in the shower/bath. Oils, glycolic acid, and black nail polish galore, check out my October Favorites in the video below!

Products Mentioned:

Carol's Daughter Monoi Repairing Conditioner
L'Occitane Cleansing & Softening Shower Oil with Almond Oil
Bobbi Brown 'Soothing' Cleansing Oil
Skin 79 Rose Moisture Mask
Alpha-H Liquid Gold
Estee Lauder 'Idealist' Even Skintone Illuminator
MAC Mineralize Blush Lured to Love (Divine Night Collection)
Burberry Sheer Luminous Pressed Powder No. 2 Porcelain
Yves Saint Laurent Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils - Luxurious Mascara No. 5 Burgundy
Julep Cleopatra

In the video I mentioned that the L'Occitane Almond Oil 500 mL bottle is only available during the holidays. This is no longer the case and it can be purchased all year. However a great deal is rather than repurchasing the larger size, but getting refills for $12 cheaper for the same amount of product!

Hope  you enjoyed!

Empties: March 2013

Saturday, April 6, 2013

You would think that after months and months of doing these empties posts/videos there would come a point where the sheer quantity would slow down. Apparently not. I won't lie, I love collecting the products and watching my bag of empties grow more full as the month progresses. It's a sick satisfaction. I am a consumer. It's that simple.

Anyway, as far as the products go, I finished a few interesting skincare bits (yes, cleanser is interesting to me) and a few makeup items that always seem to shock the masses that I get through (the masses being my one friend who reads this, HI DIANA). Regardless, I hope you guys enjoyed the video and snazzy empty-product-porn.

Favorites: March 2013

Wednesday, April 3, 2013

The beginning of March was cold and frigid but the sun came out this last week and caused an overhaul in my daily makeup routine. Out came the self tanner and away went the intensive moisterizers. I focused on contouring and chiseling out those cheekbones. Make sure to check out the video for more info on all the products.

Get Ready With Me # 2: Date Night

Tuesday, February 19, 2013

A soft look for an evening out with your boo.

This video shows not only how I like to get ready for a date night, but also how I like to use pink eyeshadows. A color that many times can make you look sickly, I like to use the warm toned pinks to create a soft and romantic look. In this look I used only the Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadows that I am absolutely in love with. I used both the Star Treatment Palette (that I picked up around the holidays) and the Next Big Thing Quad (from the most recent collection). With a little black eyeliner and a pink lip, this look is not too bold so that your date won't be looking at your makeup all night long.

Review: Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream

Monday, January 7, 2013

I am a believer in eye cream. There are those who think they are a waste of money and then there are those that think that they are life savers. I am the latter. I've been using eye creams since I was about 19 and I will continue to use them for the rest of my life. For the last month I've fallen completely in love with Bobbi Brown's Hydrating Eye Cream.

I use it both morning and evening and it is both nourishing and moisturizing while also not being too greasy to be able to apply makeup over it. It only takes the tiniest amount to moisturize the entire eye area and I feel like I've barely made a dent in the last month.

The only down fall is that it VERY pricey at $46! I was fortunate enough to get this in a kit that included a full size face moisturizer (which I have yet to try) and a full size mascara for $50 during the Nordstrom Semi-Annual Sale. If you are interested in trying it I recommend waiting until the holiday shopping sales begin to see if there is some kind of kit that either comes with a full size (like mine) or even a deluxe sample.

Favorites: September 2012

Monday, January 7, 2013

September is one of my favorite months of the year. As the weather cools and the leaves change, I find myself leaning towards darker eye shadows and more moisturizing products.

Don't forget to watch my video to get an explanation/swatch of the products
